You won’t always find back what you leave behind!

“The wound is the place where the Light enters you.” ― Rumi

Thank You Rumi! And we go along enduring wounds just in the hope of light

Those glances, that tear,
your soul and heart alike,
The face that’s sheer,
That pledge and the prayer,

Call her love, call her back
That wistful smile that makes you slack
Her cares and concerns that put you on track
The touch that’s benign
With love, the eyes that shine.
You can’t return to the same touch each time.

The laughter, the snuggles,
The arguments, the struggles,
The chatter and the troubles,
That feel so unnecessary and avoidable,
The thoughts of these,
with longing they’ll make you wriggle,
Infront of your mirror you can later mime,
For you can’t return to the same cuddles each time.

That all in one family of yours,
That stays up or down with you for years,
With zero doubt and full strength, all heart and no fears,
A plunge that’s yours is a plunge she’ll take
Knowing that it’s a point of no-return, a hell of a plunge she’ll take.
Mindlessly, without any cleverness,
in complete bewilderment she’ll put everything at stake
And when you call for it, bit by bit pieces of life she’ll rake.

Tell her once that you’ve lost your love,
Shaken, stirred, perplexed, aside the thoughts of separation she’ll shove
Bit by bit pieces of her own heart she’ll gather.
Stitch by stitch, she’ll mend  her heart and prepare for the next shatter.

But a wound that big can be sewn only a few times
It’s tough to look, hold and sew with your own hands you’d agree
The last sigh of agony she’ll heave
And when there’s nothing left to mend, she’ll leave
If this is what you wanted it’s great, but if you never gave it a thought you might regret
For if it’s too late, there’s nothing you’ll retrieve
Even if you get the person, the soul would have lost it’s shine
You’ll not always find back what you leave behind.

  1. With every blog, you become more enigmatic. Did you really grew here, in our presence? Is it a sudden realization? coz, I never perceived this new “you”. Need more interaction to know my child. Feeling just out of this world.
